    A Roanoke Valley greenways project has been approved.
    The Roanoke Valley Area Metropolitan Planning Organization approved $28.2 million for 15 regional transportation projects over the next 6 years.

  • Technology Summit in Blacks burg
    Students and business leaders came together in Blacksburg for a "Developer Patent Summit".

  • Color Run
    Hundreds of kids turned out for the area's Inaugural Color Run. This event, in which runners were colored with colorful cornstarch before they started out, was meant to bring awareness to and help curb childhood obesity.

  • The Board of Visitors approved increases in tuition and fees for the upcoming school year-$532 for in-state students and almost $1,300 for those from out-of-state.
