Becky Says: Mixed Emotion Weekend - FOX 21/27 WFXR Roanoke/WWCW Lynchburg News, Weather

It's the weekend!  (Just in case you weren't aware:)

After weeks of 90-plus degree days, then a week of rain from Tropical Storm Lee, I am ready for a cooler, fairly sunny weekend for the next 2 days.

Of course, as I look forward to a few days off work, combined with the nice weather ... it comes with mixed emotion as Sunday is the 10 year anniversary of 9-11.

It amazes me how much the footage of that day catches up with me 10 years later.  It's sad.  It's a day in our history we will never forget and a day I hope we never see again.

If anything, maybe a couple days of sunshine will help balance the raw emotions I have no doubt will once again surface come Sunday.
