I picked the perfect time to plant my flowers. I got them in the ground Monday morning before I headed into work. Then, Tuesday and now today, the rain has come down. Perfect!

After they get a nice long drink, the sun is supposed to come out over the next few days, but it won't be scorching hot. Again, I say perfect!

I'm not much of a green thumb, and the flowers I plant tend to look their best when I purchase them. Any big plans to grow them into brilliant displays of color tend to flop ... each and every year.

If mother nature keeps up this trend however, I might just get at least one or two of these plants to live for a month or two!
