ROCKY MOUNT, VA --
A non-profit organization that has been making a difference for families in Franklin County for several years, is facing a tough time.
Helping Hands of Franklin Co. helps those in need pay for things like rent, electric and medical bills.
The non-profit temporarily closed last week, after running out of money.
They were able to re-open this week thanks to some donations, but the director says that money may only last about three to four weeks.
"We don't always know when money is coming, and Summer time is particularly rough," said Sam Campbell, the director.
If you would like to make a donation, send it to, PO Box 429, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
