Thousands of Botetourt County residents have power, but no water.

The county water system runs on a series of wells, but most of those wells have lost electricity and can't pump water to the storage tank. They've brought in five industrial generators to run the pumps, but they've got to refill the tank.

Director of Emergency Management Carr Boyd says people will start getting some water back by tomorrow, but he asks that residents conserve usage so they don't run out of water again.

Boyd says Botetourt County won't be back up to regular levels of water until all power is restored, which isn't expected until the weekend.
