A seven car wreck in downtown Roanoke sends three people to the hospital.

Police say the accident happened at the intersection of Williamson road and Campbell avenue around 5:30 PM Wednesday. A white Ford pickup truck was driving south on Williamson when it slammed into another car - which caused a chain reaction crash with five other cars.

The truck driver, 25-year-old Brandon Cummings, also hit a building on the corner of Williamson and Campbell. He is facing Reckless Driving charges. Cummings and two other people were taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital were they were treated and released.
