Fatal Crash in Bedford - FOX 21/27 WFXR Roanoke/WWCW Lynchburg News, Weather

Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly rollover in Bedford County that killed a teen.

It happened at around 12:15 a.m. Sunday along Route 460, just east of Route 898.

Troopers say a 1994 Honda Civic heading eastbound on 460 went off the right side of the road, hit an embankment, and rolled several times.

A passenger in the car, 15-year-old Lewis Dickenson from Montvale, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say he was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the car has been identified as 21-year-old Aaron Jayne, also from Montvale. His injuries and condition are unclear at this time. A spokesperson for Virginia State Police says they're waiting to hear more from the troopers who responded to the scene before they can release that information.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
