Both runways at Roanoke Regional Airport are back open.

Airport spokesperson, Sherry Wallace, says one of the two closed runways will be re-opened within 30 minutes.

This will allow airport officials to resume normal flight operations.

Airport officials at Roanoke Regional say a crane is needed to lift off the runway a plane that had a landing gear malfunction.

A airport spokesperson expects this to keep the two runways closed until 1:30 p.m.

This will delay five arrivals and four departures.

11:15 a.m.

Two runways are shutdown at Roanoke Regional Airport.

An airport spokesperson says the landing gear on a King Air private aircraft collapsed Tuesday morning.

Four people were on board.

No one was hurt.

The accident happened between an intersection of two runways.

Both of those runways are now closed.
