WSLS 10's Morgan Donnelly is told by Ferrum College spokeswoman Kim Blair that there were two attempted robberies.
One by Riddick Hall (a dorm), and a second by two people near the soccer field. Two students at the soccer field reported seeing a gun.
The students reported the second attempted robbery, while campus police were responding to the Riddick Hall attempted robbery.

According to the college's website, a student reported an attempted armed robbery to campus police.
The incident took place near Riddick Hall, and the would-be robber may have had a weapon.
College leaders are asking students to stay in their dorm rooms.
