Hearing Set in Christopher Speight Case

Online court records show potential movement in the case of accused Appomattox County spree killer Christopher Speight.

Speight is charged with capital murder after gunning down eight people in January 2010.

All eight were either related to Speight, or friends of a family member.

A judge has set a hearing at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, in Appomattox County Circuit Court.

Appomattox County Commonwealth's Attorney Darrel Puckett declined to go into specifics about the hearing, saying only that "[the media] needs to be there."
