JMR Graphics, a nationwide trailer wraps manufacturer, comments on an Exchange 4 Media article detailing the rise of outdoor advertising.
Central Islip, N.Y. (PRWEB) February 19, 2013
On February 19, nationwide trailer wraps manufacturer JMR Graphics releases a statement commenting on a recent Exchange 4 Media article discussing the potential for creativity in outdoor advertising.
According to Exchange 4 Media, businesses have two purposes; one is to market, and the other is to develop innovative products or services. In India, marketers are taking advertising outdoors with billboards, gantries, and unipole signs reports Exchange 4 Media.
Priyanka Nair, the article’s author, wrote, “Imagine an ATM machine speaking out live stock exchange updates or an aerial advertising display. We have witnessed such outdoor disruptive innovations in more advanced markets.”
Representative TJ Pannell from JMR Graphics, a nationwide trailer wraps manufacturer, said a talking ATM machine and aerial displays are extremely eye-catching, but they’re also very expensive. “Paying something to fly around with an advertisement could be very expensive for advertising companies,” Pannell said.
Pannell commented on more beneficial methods to advertising. “I would also only recommend flying advertisements for beach areas or suburban towns. You want to make sure people can see the ad. If it’s being blocked by a bunch of skyscrapers, that’s money wasted. Instead, companies could invest in mobile billboards. When you wrap a car with a vinyl advertisement, your area expands because the advertisement is always on the move. It’s not a traditional stationary sign; it’s a mobile advertisement that could be seen by many more people.”
According to Exchange 4 Media, one of the popular advertising techniques is “street furniture.” Interactive street furniture means the advertisers find a way to engage with consumers by attracting people with displays sporting flashy colors, visual effects and talk to people as they walk by. Times Square is a good example of an area with a wide variety of “street furniture” advertisements reports Exchange 4 Media.
Pannell said these types of advertisements are often very successful, but they need quality vinyl to make them stand out. “It’s important to use quality materials when investing money in these types of advertisements,” he said. “They can fade easily due to weather and sun, so you need to use vinyl with protective coatings.”
