Later this week, radio station WPSK will go on the air with emotional stories about kids with cancer and other diseases.
They want you to help them in the fight. This will be the tenth year the radio station has held the "Country Cares for Saint Jude Kids Radiothon." According to station leaders, around $300,000 have been raised since they joined the program.
The daughter of radio personality, Scott Stevens is raising 700 pounds in coins as a 4th grade class project at Blacksburg's Kipps Elementary. "The testimony that the parents had when their kids didn't survive is that their kids had a little more time, they gave them more time to be with their kids," said Stevens.
The radiothon will be held Thursday and Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
