Court records show a Dublin woman has been charged with trying to poison her ex-husband.

A Radford grand jury indicted Cathy Turpin on charges of poisoning, malicious wounding, and several other offenses related to her ex-husband.

The charges date back to between August and September 2008, court records show.

Radford police say Turpin poisoned her ex-husband's food, sending him to the hospital.

He survived.

Radford police said they only recently learned of the allegations, which is why nearly five years have gone by between the time the alleged crimes occurred, and the time of the indictments.
