Picture released in search for missing woman in Bath Co.

Virginia State Police say the search is still ongoing for a missing woman whose car was found in Bath County.

State Police on Wednesday night identified the missing woman as 62-year-old Harriet C. Cobb of Rockingham County.

Investigators found Cobb's 2006 silver BMW 325i near Back Creek on Route 39, about 1/2 mile from Route 600, in the Mountain Grove area.  Officers found no signs of foul play.

Troopers say Cobb was last seen by her family around 2 p.m. this past Saturday, March 9, in Rockingham County.

Search teams have looked for Cobb in the air, on the ground, and in various water locations in the Mountain Grove area.

State Police describe Cobb as:

  • 5 ft. 3 in. tall
  • 115 pounds
  • Brown, shoulder length hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing a light green shirt and black plants
