A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 2 p.m. Monday for areas north of Roanoke and Lynchburg.
The snow and sleet have ended, but areas of freezing drizzle will continue until temperatures rise above 32 degrees. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing in all areas between noon and 2 p.m. On top of the one to three inches of snow that fell early this morning could be a light glaze of ice.
Southward, areas along the Blue Ridge and into the deeper valleys could see light freezing drizzle from fog that is in place this morning.
Because of warmer temperatures recently, many roadways will not see problems, but bridges and overpasses could see a light ice accumulation, as well as sidewalks.
