Martinsville man arrested for allegedly burning woman's face
MARTINSVILLE, VA -
Police in Martinsville are investigating an incident that left a woman with second and third degree burns to her face and body.
Charles Wayne Goins is charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding after police say they received a report that he threw some type of flammable substance in the victim's face before pulling out a lighter.
The victim was taken to a hospital in Winston Salem for treatment.
Goins is being held in the Martinsville City Jail.
