Police have tape of Franklin Co. murder for hire plot

WSLS 10 has learned Virginia State Police have Angie Nolen on video and audio tape arranging an alleged hit on her ex-husband.

Investigators say the man Nolen thought was a hitman was actually an undercover state police officer.

Nolen, and her friend Cathy Bennett, are charged in what police say was a murder-for-hire plot with Nolen's ex-husband being the target.

Court records show both women plan to waive their preliminary hearings tomorrow afternoon in Franklin County General District Court.

The hearing is set for 1:30 p.m.

If both women waive the hearing, it will send the case on to the next meeting of the Franklin County grand jury.

Both women are charged in what police say was a murder for hire plot to kill Nolen's ex husband.
