Franklin County students fight hunger with bike race

Franklin County High School students are making a difference putting down their books to teach preschoolers the value of giving back.

It's part of the FCCLA's national outreach project and it's giving young little tots a "License to Feed."

Jessica Leftwich, FCCLA advisor, says the tots and teens are teaming up to raise money for the FCCLA's hunger out reach.

The little racers are in the preschool program at Franklin County High School.

To raise money high school classes sponsor each of the kids on racing on bikes.

"We're doing something good for our community helping with child hunger which is what share our strength focuses on.  Also, the preschoolers really enjoy it of course they're getting their exercise in the meantime and it's nice to see the high schoolers and the community pull together to support such a good cause," explained Leftwich.

The FCCLA holds a fundraiser every year, but each year they try to do something a little different.
