Firefighters Cut Containment Line Around Bedford Co. Fire Scene - FOX 21/27 WFXR Roanoke/WWCW Lynchburg News, Weather

Firefighters cut a containment line around a Bedford County fire scene this morning in case the fire flared back up due to dry conditions and the wind.

A fire shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday morning destroyed a building at Central Virginia Pallet & Stake, not far from Liberty High School.

Firefighters said an early morning breeze helped fuel the fire.

The National Weather Service issued an alert warning that the dry, windy conditions expected for tonight are ripe to spread wildfires.

Firefighters said the cause of the fire at the pallet company was still under investigation.
