The Pulaski County sheriff's office said it wanted to notify the next of kin of the victims involved in the fire before releasing their names to the public.

The sheriff's office has not released any information on the cause of the fire or where it started.

Donald Mitchell survived the fire, along with his girlfriend, and her two daughters.

Mitchell said the home belonged to his girlfriend.

Mitchell said the two people lost in the fire were friends who were spending the night.

"It's hard to believe they didn't get out," he said Monday morning, standing outside the burned home.

Original post:

Two people are dead after a mobile home fire in Dublin.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office received a call around 3:30 a.m. Monday for a mobile home fire on Poplar Lane.

When sheriff's deputies got to the scene, the mobile home was fully involved and two adults were trapped inside.

Investigators say the two victims were later found dead inside the home.

The owners of the house and two children managed to escape the fire.

One child was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.

The identification of the victims will not be released until all proper notifications are made.

The Dublin Fire Department and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office are still investigating the fire.

WSLS 10's Scott Leamon will have more on the investigation tonight on WSLS at 6.
