A Radford University professor arrested twice in the last month is now behind bars for a third time facing new charges. Added all together, Taj Mahon-Haft is now facing 57 charges.
Mahon-Haft is due in court for a bond hearing on Thursday, April 4.
On Thursday, March 21, officers arrested Mahon-Haft on 24 counts of possession of child pornography. Police now say Haft faces nine additional charges for production of child pornography.
The charges stem from computers investigators took from his Radford home back in December. Police say while serving warrants at his home, Haft resisted arrest and is also being charged with assaulting a police officer.
Back on March 13, Haft was arrested and charged with possession of bath salts and marijuana.
A Radford University spokesman said the school is now re-evaluating his status. The university said it suspended him after his initial arrest. The spokesman said the school didn't learn of his latest arrest until Thursday night.
