Thursday is exactly one year since Pulaski teen Cameron Fitzwater was killed in an accident on his way to work.
Now, his mother is making a difference in her son's honor.
Terri Fitzwater Palmore is planning the first ever Color me Cameron 5k.
Terri says she wants the race to reflect Cameron's life and his colorful personality.
Cameron never made it to his high school graduation, but other students are getting help at college thanks to four memorial scholarships in his honor, and this weekend's race will help pay for those.
"The best way to describe Cameron is that God took a handful of crayons and just colored him inside and out, because he has so much going on and so much interest and everything," Palmore said.
