A favorite ice cream parlor in Roanoke is being recognized nationally for one of its sandwiches.
As part of its April Grilled Cheese Month series, Esquire Magazine featured Pop's Ice Cream in Grandin on its website for the parlor's unique take on the All-American sandwich.
Along with Swiss cheese, the Swiss Melt features artichoke hearts, Dijon mustard, and horseradish.
Some versions can even come stuffed with apple slices, figs, and black beans.
