A veterinarian is making a difference for the folks at Warm Hearth Village.
Julia Potter, with Riverbluff Retrievers in Radford, recently donated Marley to the Blacksburg Senior Living Center.
Marley moved to the Showalter Center about four weeks ago.
She was a surprise for the residents and staff after the Center's previous dog passed away last summer.
Administrators say she adds a major quality of life for the seniors.
"This is a lovely place and we enjoy each other, but to have that baby is wonderful. I can't imagine living without a dog, I've always had dogs, love them," explained Millie Wiggert, Showalter Center resident.
Marley lives at the nurses' station and will make rounds visiting residents in their apartments.
