A water tank ruptured Wednesday morning at the Vaughan Bassett Furniture plant in Galax, temporarily evacuating employees.
Plant #1 was evacuated after the tank, carrying around 200,000 gallons, burst.
A worker suffered minor injuries and was treated for cuts and bruises at the hospital.
The tank was connected to the plant's sprinkler system.
Company officials say a small fire that damaged the plant's dust and electrical system was put out near the tank.
Shipping and office employees returned to work around 1 p.m., but manufacturing at the plant remains closed.
