Southside Non-Profit Builds Playground For Franklin County Girl

Posted: Updated:

God's Pit Crew and the community are making a difference helping a Franklin County girl learn and play outside.

6-year-old Ava Setliff was born with a rare facial disorder and with high medical expenses her parents couldn't afford a playground.

Ava's physical therapist submitted a request for help to God's Pit Crew.

"We're known as a group who travels out of town and works in other communities, but it's neat to work close to home, to help our neighbors and the folks that we live close to in our area and it's really special to help this family, because they didn't ask for this help," explained Randy Johnson, God's Pit Crew founder.

Even though the playground is up for Ava to climb on it isn't completely paid for, but God's Pit Crew has faith this "Butterfly Kisses" project will prompt the community to give.
