MONTGOMERY COUNTY, VA -

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says its deputies have made an arrest in an more than 13 year-old murder case.

On Wednesday, April 24th, deputies and State Police troopers arrested 70-year-old Mark Ward Faville Jr., in connection with the killing of Anne Michelle Faville.

Investigators say Anne Faville was found dead on March 7, 2000, at a home on Mt. Tabor Road.

The sheriff's office says new evidence came to light recently, that led them to the arrest of Mark Faville Jr.

The investigation is ongoing.

A WSLS story from March 8, 2000 shows Anne Faville taught at G.W. Carver Elementary School in Salem, and was known as "Mickey."  School leaders at the time told WSLS that Faville had taught at the school since it opened in 1983.  She taught 5th grade.
