Lynchburg man sentenced for role in Russian child porn ring

Posted: Updated:

A federal judge sentenced a Lynchburg man to more than 11 years in prison this afternoon for his role in a Russian child pornography ring.

Federal investigators said Jesse Coleman received dozens of images of child pornography from a shady character named "Andy" in Russia between 2010 and 2011.

Court records show "Andy" is still at large.

Coleman was one of eight men implicated in the ring, and the last to receive his prison sentence.

Although Coleman was court marshaled for similar offenses while in the Navy in 1998, he was never entered into the Virginia Sex Offender Registry until February 2012, according the registry's website.
