2002 DUI death driver may get her probation revoked again

Posted: Updated:
ROANOKE COUNTY, VA -

Roanoke County Commonwealth's Attorney Randy Leach confirmed he will seek to revoke the probation of Lynsi Mayes once again.

Mayes was behind the wheel in Roanoke County on May 18, 2002 when an accident killed her passenger, Casey Bane.

Bane was 15 years old.

Mayes served some time in juvenile detention and prison before being released sometime around 2005 or 2006.

Roanoke police charged her with her second DWI on April 13th.

Leach said, if Mayes is convicted on the Roanoke charge, he will file paperwork seeking to revoke her probation on the 2002 crime.

Court records show it would be the third time she's had her probation revoked on alcohol related use.
