Many students in our area have begun SOL testing, which takes a lot of preparation.
Some of the students at Round Hill Elementary in Roanoke lined the halls today to cheer on those taking the test.
Teachers say they've taken the time to work with students individually to make sure they fully understand the material.
They say it's a big day for both students and teachers.
"As I talk to different parents, I say, 'Please just give them that extra ounce of encouragement tomorrow because they've worked really hard for this,'" Round Hill Elementary Principal Sybil Taylor says.
Students made posters saying "I can be SOL strong" for an extra push of encouragement.
