Fleet Feet's No Boundaries group takes running and walking to a new level. Coaches give participants guidance and training advice to achieve race goals.
The group trains for Gallop for the Greenways during spring sessions.
"They can slowly work up to that goal over 12 weeks," says Monica Mannino, Fleet Feet coach. "We don't just throw people in and say, 'Go and run.' We try to help people get there. We have some people who may start with the beginner walk/run program and end up running by the end."
This is the fifth year for No Boundaries. There are 115 people signed up this spring. Fleet Feet trains for a fall 5k, too.
Gallop for the Greenways has raised more than $100,000 for greenway construction projects over the last six years.
