Derick Wilson, the man charged with setting off a bomb in Blacksburg last year, was back in court Friday to plead guilty to having an unlicensed explosive device, a federal crime.
Police were called to 408 Harrell Street back in August 2012 after an IED exploded and damaged an SUV parked just a few blocks from Virginia Tech.
Police later discovered the car belonged to a man who had moved in with Wilson's girlfriend.
Wilson admitted to making the bomb. Police later found a second IED in Wilson's Roanoke home.
