The Taubman Museum's annual Art of Golf tournament kicked off at the Ballyhack Golf Course in Roanoke Monday morning.
About 23 teams of golfers came out to participate in this year's event. The museum's marketing and membership supervisor, Jill Colby, says this is the third year they've held the event at the Ballyhack Golf Club.
It's not just for professionals; she says anyone can participate.
"I think they love it, especially the opportunity to come play at a course like Ballyhack, which is pretty challenging," Colby says. "We play a shamble format and that helps out with allowing some of our more recreational golfers to come out and have a really great time."
The Taubman Museum expects to raise about $37,000 from this event.
