Yoga enthusiasts in the Star City can look forward to a steamy addition to the class line-up at Gold's Gym.
Starting next month, the facility located on Electric Road will be the first in the area to offer hot yoga. Previously, people traveled to Lynchburg or Blacksburg for classes.
After the style became popular nationwide, Gold's Gym instructor Beth Fisher says that many Roanoke area citizens showed interest in taking the class.
"There's a lot of curiosity," Fisher said. "Some people are nervous or anxious about the idea of doing yoga in [a] 105-degree room."
Fisher says that as long as participants are healthy with no previous health conditions, there is no reason for concern.
Classes begin July 8.
