The cleanup continues almost two weeks after the latest high-wind storm, and has Roanoke County crews working overtime.
The storm alone has nearly quadrupled the Solid Waste Authority's work load.
Just last week, crews picked up 185 truck loads. They have topped 500 for the month.
Normally it takes crews around two weeks to make a round trip of the county. Now it should take almost four weeks.
Solid Waste Manager Nancy Duval said the workload "has pretty much quadrupled so that we are running a little bit behind. What are we doing is cleaning up entirely. We normally only have a truck load but we are taking on more. So that's what's taken a little bit longer as well."
Officials do want to assure everyone the job will get done, but they ask for everyone's patience.
