The Montgomery County School Board opened up the doors of its two newest schools Monday afternoon for a peek inside.
The new Blacksburg High School cost approximately $63 million, while the new Auburn High School's price tag is around $40 million. Both are on time to be completely by September, when Montgomery County starts back to school.
Both schools are being built with room for growth. Blacksburg's capacity will be 1,600 students. The current enrollment is 1,161. Auburn's capacity will be 800 students. Its current enrollment is 379.
Blacksburg will have 45 classrooms. Auburn will have 22.
