On Tuesday, the Roanoke Rescue Mission unveiled the newly completed Hope House.
Families that work at the Mission and graduates of the recovery program will soon call the renovated house a home.
The Mission teamed up with New Hope Christian Church, spending over a year on the project. All ready for move-in, the house is now complete with fresh paint, new floors, and appliances. Grand Home Furnishings also donated furniture.
Development officer Matt King said the year-long remodeling process represents what the mission is all about: "A house that may have, right up front, looked hopeless itself, but with a little bit of volunteering, a little bit of community outreach, with a little bit of help and a whole lot of prayer it's worked out."
The unveiling Tuesday was in honor of the Rescue Mission's 65th anniversary.
