Animal rights group PETA sent a letter to a Bedford County homeowner's association urging the group to call off plans to kill problem geese in a Forest neighborhood.
On Monday, a judge ruled the association can kill the geese.
In the letter, PETA asks the neighborhood group to find a more humane solution to control the wild bird population.
The animal rights group also sent a copy of its humane geese-control guide, which contains methods of controlling wild geese populations humanely and effectively.
PETA's Senior Vice President of Cruelty Investigations says not only is killing geese inhumane, it's ineffective, since more geese are just as likely to move in the neighborhood.
