Lynchburg Police have arrested a 21-year-old in connection with a rape case from March.
Officers say Richard Dewayne Martin-Busher Jr. is the main suspect in the rape of a woman, as well as a breaking and entering case from March 4 in the 1300 block of Liggates Road.
The victim told officers that an unknown man entered through her front door, fought with her, then raped her, and ran out the back door.
Martin-Busher is being held without bond.
Investigators also say Martin-Busher is a suspect in a break-in at the Grand Home Furnishings store in Lynchburg that took place on July 9.
Police say they expect to file additional charges in connection with other property crimes.
