Daycare Deals With Aftermath of Flooding

After 21 people were rescued by boat Wednesday from the Rainbow Christian Learning Center, the owners are now dealing with the aftermath of the flooding.

The water destroyed carpets, toys, and the center's air conditioning unit.

The bus used to transport the children was also destroyed.

"We are so sad and disappointed, but our main concern is the children being safe," owner John Anderson says.

The daycare was inspected Thursday. The owners have not been given any information on what funds they will receive to cover the damage, if any at all.

They are hopeful that the community will lend a helping hand to get the center back up and running.

For anyone interested in helping the Rainbow Christian Learning center, donations are being accepted at Stellar One.
