A Radford woman is making a difference for a New River Valley suicide hotline after her sister took her own life.
Lauri Murphy is holding a fundraiser Saturday at the Burnt Creative in Blacksburg called Framing the Future.
Money raised will go towards RAFT to help advertise the hotline.
Lauri came up with the idea to raise money after her sister Angie took her own life a year and a half ago.
"Suicide in general, I knew it was out there, I knew that people suffered, I knew that people are sick with alcoholism, drug abuse, depression and it's an illness and once it affected my family, I don't want it to affect anyone else's family," Murphy said.
Crafters pay $8 to take part, $2 of which will go to pay for the picture frame materials.
