Martinsville Under Boil Water Notice After Water Main Break

City of Martinsville news release:

Due to a water main break in the vicinity of Bridge Street and Memorial Boulevard, the City of Martinsville, in conjunction with the Henry/Martinsville Health Department and the Virginia Department of Health, is issuing a boil water notice to residents.

Customers in the affected areas are warned to use bottled water or boil their tap water for one minute before drinking or using for cooking until further notice.

The following areas are affected by the notice:

Memorial Boulevard from Bridge Street west to Fayette Street and side streets, including Henry Street, Sellers Street, Salem Street, Lavinder Street, and Manilla Street.

Bridge Street from the intersection of Memorial Boulevard north to Market Street, including Lavinder Street, Winston Street, Railroad Street, South Moss Street, Cemetery Street, Sutherlin Street, and South College Street.
