We now know the names of the people involved in the deadly crash on Route 460.
Roanoke County Police say Leon Brandau (age 69), of Salem, was driving eastbound on Route 460, while Doris Moran (age 71), of Elliston, was attempting to turn onto Route 460 from Peaceful Drive.
The front of Brandau's vehicle hit the driver side of Moran's vehicle.
Officers tell us the impact from the crash killed both Moran and her front seat passenger, Elgenna Cassell (age 73), of Salem.
EMTs took Brandau to a hospital.
Investigators found all three people had been wearing their seatbelts, and weather was not a factor. Also, police do not believe alcohol, drugs, nor speeding was involved in the crash.
Roanoke County Police just sent out an update.
Investigators say a vehicle driving east on Route 460 hit another vehicle pulling out from the intersection with Peaceful Drive.
The impact killed two people in the car that pulled out from Peaceful Drive. Police have not released their names yet, pending notification of their family.

Roanoke County Police say at least one person died in the crash.
The name of the victim is being withheld until officers are able to notify family members.
The crash took place at the intersection of Route 460/11 and Peaceful Drive.
Roanoke County Police say Route 460/11 has been reduced to one lane.
Eastbound traffic is being detoured onto Peaceful Drive.
VDOT says a multiple car crash is blocking both eastbound lanes of Route 460/11 in Western Roanoke County, near the Montgomery County line, by Spring Hollow Reservoir.
