Update: State police tell us now that all 6 of the firefighters were taken to the hospital, but none have life-threatening injuries. We're learning more about what caused the wreck. We're told the fire truck was going south on New London Road. As it came around the corner, it went off the right side of the road, the driver overcorrected, and the truck went back across both lanes, and crashed into a wooden fence in front of New London Steak house. It overturned in the parking lot of the restaurant.

The Deputy Chief of Bedford County Department of Fire and Rescue says they will sift their resources around, adding that service will not be affected while the truck is out of service.

7:42 a.m.

The Bedford Fire Dept. says, at 6:33 a.m. the Forest Volunteer Fire Company was responding to a reported structure fire on the 16,000 block of Wyatts Way.  Six firefighters were on board when the truck was involved in a single vehicle accident. It overturned.

Four firefighters were hurt. All injuries are described as non-life threatening, but dispatch tells us three were taken to the hospital.

BREAKING: Rescue crews are responding to New London Rd. in Forest for a roll over fire truck accident. We have a crew on the way.
