A volunteer fire crew in Bedford County found themselves in need of emergency assistance Wednesday.
The crew has heading to a fire in the 16000 block of Wyatts Way Road when the truck crashed on New London Road.
We're told the truck was going around a curve when it crashed through a fence and flipped over.
Six firefighters were taken to the hospital, but have all since been released.
Virginia State Police just released the names of the firefighters involved in the crash. They are:
Penny Hall was on her way to work and saw the whole thing. "First thing you can see is just red up in the air, and I just heard this boom boom," she said. "It just continued to roll."
Officials say the cause of the accident is still under investigation. Other departments are teaming up to help cover the region.
Bedford County Fire & Rescue says the fire the crew was responding to started a little after 6 a.m.
Firefighters from seven departments helped put out the flames, but the home is a total loss. The American Red Cross is helping the family.
The Fire Marshal's office blamed the fire on an electrical problem and has ruled the fire an accident.
