Weekend Buzz: 07-26-2013

Sometimes you just gotta dance. That's what Tara Wheeler will be doing this weekend. Her plans were revealed in today's Weekend Buzz. Jay Prater also showcased Floydfest, going on all weekend. This music festival started with humble beginnings and is now one of the biggest on the East coast. Another amazing lineup this year with artists like Old Crow Medicine Show, The Lumineers, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and so many more, including DJs and comedians, spread across multiple stages on an 80-acre spread.

New in theaters, Hugh Jackman is back in The Wolverine. Not technically a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, this one is a stand alone story with plenty of action. It's rated PG 13 and you can see the trailer at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-Yu9uwHLVI.

Drop by Green Hill Park tomorrow for Touch a Truck. The kids love this event as they get to see, touch, and climb on hundreds of cool vehicles, including fire trucks, helicopters, cherry pickers, even airplanes. Fox 21/27 will be there with beach balls while they last. It all happens at Green Hill Park in Salem from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Bill Cosby returns to the Roanoke Performing Arts Theatre at the Roanoke Civic Center tomorrow night. I don't know what else to say. It's Bill friggin' Cosby. Go see him!
