Roanoke Blacksburg Innovation Network is hoping to raise $100,000 from the public.
The money will go to helping build more technology companies through mentors and jobs.
The goal is to fund 3,000 jobs and pump in about $30 to 60 million.
"We've got a lot of people very very excited about this because its really got buy-in from across the community," says Nathan Latka, CEO of Heyo. "It'll be really exciting when we launch it."
The website where people can donate will go live in two weeks.
