Salty, smoky deliciousness in a strip. Bacon-Fest Virginia, Roanoke's first festival dedicated to bacon, happens tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the same parking lot area as the Chili Cook-off. Sample bacon-themed breakfasts, lunches, dinners, desserts, and drinks.
The America Works Labor Day Parade and Festival is happening on Saturday, as well! The parade begins at 11 a.m. and runs from Jefferson Street to Campbell Avenue. After that, beginning at noon, join the Labor Day Festival on Franklin Road at SunTrust Plaza.
And don't forget 202 Market's Un-Official End of Summer Luau Party on Sunday featuring no cover charge, live music by Mohamed Bhana, a pair of very talented late-night DJs, tons of prizes including one from Fox 21/27, and a portion of proceeds benefiting TAP: Total Action against Poverty.
