Floyd Co. Father and Son Arrested In Child Pornography Charges

Posted: Updated:
FLOYD COUNTY -

Gregory and Mark Clabaugh, father and son, were arrested for multiple child pornography charges going back to 2007.

Both face charges of reproducing child pornography and Gregory faces at least 16 charges of possession. It's a case that the sheriff says is rare.

"I've been sheriff here for nine years and this is the only one I could think of as for child pornography," says Sheriff Shannon Zeman of Floyd Co. Sheriff's Office.

According to court documents, the home both lived in had computers with IP addresses linked to views of explicit videos of children as young as five years old. It's a case that has shocked this community especially since Gregory was known for his voice at the local high school.

"I went to Floyd County High School," says Jamie Huff who lives in Floyd County. "I know he spent a long time announcing for the football team and basketball team. He's pretty well known."

Huff says it's something that worries him and his wife.

"This was completely shocking when we heard about it especially having three children of my own," says Ashley Huff.

It's what the Sheriff's office is working to fight. They now have an office dedicated to fighting crimes against children online.

"After the case we're discussing here today it does make you wonder if there was one case or are there more to keep our children safe our community safe," says Sheriff Zeman.

Both men could appear in court as early as next week and the case is being investigated further by the FBI and Virginia State Police.
