The weather will be perfect tonight to view the lake from above. The third annual Smith Mountain Lake Hot Air Balloon Classic is tonight starting at 6 p.m. at Mariner's Landing. Watch the balloons or climb aboard for a tethered ride. Adults $10, kids 3-12 are just $5, and kids under 3 ride for free!

Tomorrow at Tower's Mall, What to Wear Roanoke and A Little Bit Hippy invite you to an afternoon of hippie fashion benefiting SARA: Sexual Assault Response and Awareness.

Image consultant Donna Wallace will be styling the Fashionista Roanoke models as well as friends of A Little Bit Hippy.

Franklin County Civil War Days are running through the weekend. It's living history, military drills and demonstrations, battle re-enactments, the Ladies of the Lake singers, a ladies' program/fashion show and tea, and so much more.

The event also features a dinner and barn dance event at 6 p.m. tomorrow.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

And if you want to see some live music, Seven Mile Ford plays a 21-and-older show at Breaktime Billiards on Plantation Road in Roanoke tonight.

Bluegrass on the Salem Farmer's Market tomorrow night from 6-10, and Driftin' Westward return to Roanoke at Blue's Barbecue tomorrow night at 10.
